A Gameboy classic I custom painted for a friend— which will be reassembled and sold as a fully functional Gameboy! Probably going to continue touching up and adding to this though.
CHECK THIS OUT.
these just arrived in the mail and I’ll be painting them for a friend!! EXCITING
The blog’s been on a bit of a hiatus as of late, but I have been working on things. I’ve just been super-busy with work, and prepping for the last Future Night of the year (it was this past Friday), AND I moved a couple weeks ago. My schedule’s been packed.
I should get back to posting more regularly shortly after Thanksgiving.
Here’s a quick list of neat upcoming stuff:
- I’ve been invited to write articles for and cross-post the stuff I post here onto ThoseGuys.tv. That’ll start hopefully right after I start posting things up here again shortly after Thanksgiving.
- I bought a handheld-engraver-pen-thing a while back. I’m going to use a thicker engraving tip that came with it to engrave somewhat of a small trench (for lack of a better word), in a swirly pattern on the front of a DMG. Then, I’m going to take some craft lace and glue/epoxy it in place along the trench. It’s deep enough in there that it doesn’t stick out of the shell or anything, but you can still feel it when you run your finger over it and the design’ll really pop out. Think pastel lavender or something for the shell and then pink and/or blue craft lace. Or a white shell with primary-colored craft lace. It’s gonna look nice.
- Getting tired of stenciling spraypaint all the time, I decided to look into outsourcing some of my paintjobs to more talented artists. I’m now working with ComicShans on a couple of designs as a test run just to see how it goes but so far it seems very promising. Look forward to seeing those sometime in the near-future. And check out her art, man. It’s pretty great.
- You know those ugly cars that were really popular like ten years ago that changed color depending on what angle you looked at them from? Yeah. I got my hands on some of that paint and I’m doing a couple DMGs like that.
Everybody should come to FUTURE NIGHT @ Boheme Collectif in Nashville.
Some of the guys from CMO and I have been working on getting a Nashville chip show put together since February and ended up teaming up with Boheme Collectif since they’ve been doing something similar to what we already had in mind and it’s gonna be AWESOME.
Future Night is an experimental art & music showcase featuring progressive bands & interactive art installations held at Boheme Collectif in East Nashville. This is a creative collaboration between makers, musicians & futurephiles and for anyone who enjoys the combination of these things, exciting new forms of media, and experimentation in general.

Isn’t it the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen? If your answer is anything but “yes,” you’re horribly wrong and you should rethink all of the decisions that brought you to this point in life.
