MAJOR updates coming soonish, including a ton of new work, a layout change, and possibly the start of frequent video uploads.
College and work have been keeping me from updating for the past few months, but I haven’t forgotten, and I’ll start posting more frequently within the next week or two.
~Friendly reminder that I can do more than just DMGs~
•PSY released a song with Snoop Dogg!
•…It wasn’t very good.
The Aquabats! concert in Pensacola, FL!
Whip-Smart-McCoy and I were at the front of the line a couple hours early, hung out with some cool people, played a random piano on the sidewalk outside the venue, and Jimmy walked by and complimented my playing.
Got to stand in the front of the crowd and interact with MCBC multiple times, got our picture taken with Crash (apparently the other members of the band were sick afterwards?), and found out my belt peeled off during the show. Crash signed it, though, so that’s pretty cool.
Afterwards we went to eat at Steak N’ Shake with another Aquacadet (Jonathan AKA Pancakes AKA The Jade Tiger? I’m not sure if he has a Tumblr, if you’re reading this, lemme know).
Apparently I hold my sandwiches the same way I hold a Dualshock controller.

If anyone ever wondered if you could put temporary tattoos on a gameboy, the answer is yes.
The Heart DMG.
Left: An incredibly rare DMG given away on an 80s gameshow in the UK.
Right: My recreation of it.
No, this isn’t some hand-painted Game Boy, this is an honest to goodness game show prize Game Boy. I have no idea what show it was given away on and details are scarce but it was believed to be somewhere in the UK and the owner even posted a video online showing it off. It is missing the “Nintendo GAME BOY” printed on the front but it was professionally painted and in the video you can see that the serial number was added on after the paint job. I wish I knew more about this and feel free to post and tell us if you know. I have no idea what it is worth.
This was a fun one to put together, even though the reaction wasn’t as big as expected.
Evan “Stevesesy” Butler asked me a while back if I could attempt to recreate this gameboy. He planned on making a big deal out of it and tricking people into thinking it was the real thing.
There are only a couple of images of it on the internet, all provided by the man mentioned in the quote above, save for one well-hidden image of a collection of DMGs on Nintendo’s UK website.
Here’s the one I made:
More pictures of the process after the break.
The current status of things.
Apologies for the long hiatus, everyone.
I’ve been incredibly busy the past couple of months working two jobs, dealing with college stuff, and trying to find a new apartment.
I have a lot of neat stuff in the works.
In just a bit I’ll be posting a recent aesthetic mod that I’m quite proud of, I’ll have the Kirby and Zelda DMGs that Shannon painted up for sale later this week, along with a few other simple mods, I’ve got some new music stuff in the works, and I’m also working on a super-secret special project that will be revealed later this Summer!
Look forward to it!
